Eighth Day: Monday, March 8

Kami : good morning the casket left for the mining town of Kami, located about 90 kilometers of Cochabamba and 4,000 meters above sea level. The difficulties of the road and truck conditions made travel difficult and slow. However, could be reached thanks to good weather and the skill of the driver. Even before reaching Villa Pereira, a caravan of motorcyclist welcomed and escorted to the truck for the rest of the journey. In the Villa Pereira children in school clusters near the band of the boarding and local authorities welcomed Don Bosco greeted with music and waving flags. The same happened in Lipichi. Hence, with an escort heightened urn finally made his entrance to the village where he was received by a significant amount of people. Was taken to the school playground "Simón Bolívar", run by the Sisters of Jesus and Mary. There he developed the program prepared: words of circumstance, folk dancing, youth workers and lots of devotion. Everything was chaired and coordinated by the priests to encourage the community: parents Serafino, Miguel Angel Aimar and Pedro Quispe.

Independence: Because of difficulties in the path taken to Kami and anticipating any danger, they had to take a sad and difficult decision not to go to Independence. The ballot box was a little more time in the mining town and then left for Sucre. However, in order not to disappoint and give some comfort to all the people of Independence they were waiting for Don Bosco, Fr Accompanied by the General Inspector Aparicio had to travel to that location. Obviously, they felt a certain disappointment and frustration, however, held the Eucharist, presided by Fr Juan Pablo and concelebrated by the priests in charge of the area: P. Mamani and P. Thomas Ramiro Garabito. Subsequently continued with the planned program. Although dwarfed in this unexpected, youthful enthusiasm and love for Don Bosco remained alive and present in all Ayopaya.
